Forged In Fire has well defined characters and such an interestingly crafted world in which they live, struggle, and come to make that one decision that changes everything. Not only do the main protagonists (Ciaran is my favorite!) take on a life of their own, but the story, itself, is delivered in a unique voice, filled with suspense, action, adventure, romance, mystery - all blended in such a magical way as to keep you on the edge of your seat.

I don't want to give the story away but I can tell you that this author really delivers! I'd read the first book in this series, and was thrilled when I saw the second book was available for download. I absolutely loved the ending and how it tied things together nicely, while still leaving it open for more adventure.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Ciarran willingly went to hell to protect his three nephews and niece. He was there for thousands of years, or so it seemed. He became a great fighter and won the right to take a female, or get a good meal. He had no plans to run up against Desiree. She was a demon and very powerful.

Maybe he was wrong, but everyone seemed to stay away from Desiree. We're they afraid?? She summoned him, and that's when it happened. He fell in love with a demon. Oh he had no plans to escape hell,nor did he plan on her.

Desiree was a badass, and got what she wanted. The council, even her own mother, wanted her dead. But when she spent time with Ciarran, her life was whole. What power did he have over her?? If anyone spoke to her like he did, they would be dead. But he was different. It seemed like he didn't really belong in hell.

Follow the romance and the problems associated with their relationship. All is not as it seems. It's a very good second book, and I will see where it leads me.

This book was fantastic and I really enjoyed reading it. It was full of action and danger and adventure. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
I have not read the first book in this series, yet it didn't bother me in any way reading this second one. This story is all about emotions and reactions. Desiree or Ciaran have bodies that can take a beating and be right back up to par in minutes. When these two get frisky things get very fired up. They both have very deep and strong feelings of who they are and why. Only by understanding why they are the way they are, and finding acceptance of that, could they possibly let each other in. Yet at the same time they are fiercely ready to protect each other at any cost. This journey is what you will find in this hot-blooded tale. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Ciaran , what can I say I was cheering for him from page one! I could not put this book down. I downloaded this book before I realized it was book two of a series so I downloaded book one and read it first. I have to say I liked book one but I LOVED book two. I wanted to scream at Desiree and Ciaran so many times for their stubbornness. Neither wanting to bend for the other but unable to resist the passion and desire sparking between them. Ciaran, figuring it out first, finally goes after what he wants. Pushing Desiree until she bends, knowing the whole time what Desiree wants, but because of her demon nature can't admit. Steamy and action packed adventure. I received a free copy for my honest review.
Desiree is now banished. Just like that the Demon council banished after all the work she's done. But the fun twist is seeing her find a good soul in this place. So good can happen. They hit it off and you can tell something will eventually brew between them.

There are issues. He's a human and humans only have one purpose in this world, to be a slave. While Desiree can be out and about and do whatever she wants. Though she would rather spend time with Ciaran and get to know him.

I loved the first book and this book is even better and the author knows how to keep you captivated. Its refreshing and worth the read. Lyn is talented and I can't wait to read more by her!!
Ciaran is such a likeable character in all aspects! He is a man of integrity who chose to give up his freedom in exchange for the life of his newborn nephews, a sacrifice that ended this human up in the underworld. Then there is Desiree (Gem), a half-breed demon who has been banished by the Demon Council. Among all the evil souls in the underworld, one intrigues her. A powerful story of good and evil, love and sacrifice and ultimately a happily ever after. A compelling and excellent read!
As stunning as the first witch series book was, you would think it’d be impossible to match it, yet this follow up does not disappoint. Rather than falling short Johanson seems to have risen to the challenge at once creating yet another masterful piece of writing that is sure to captivate any reader. With a compelling storyline that grabs your attention from the very outset and holds it throughout, this book is sure to be one you can’t put down. While the world Johnson has created is fascinating and well-designed it is the characters themselves that are the driving force of this novel. Both complex and well-developed, these characters are quick to slide into a special place in your heart. Between the artful writing, the incredible plot and the amazing characters I cannot recommend this book enough.
